H&R Block Tax Prep App Reviews

Weve used hrb for years. It works. The descriptions are sometimes confusing. weve had another company audit last years return and they couldnt find anything to improve.

The app is very very glitchy. Took me forever to try to upload my W2s. Finally got them to upload, logged in and they were all gone and I had to start over. Somehow during entering my taxes I "upgraded accidentally". When I called support the only way to downgrade was to erase all of the information I had to enter, so I would have to completely start over. No thanks, I will be finding a different tax product

I spent way too much time taking perfectly well lit photos of my W-2s on a black background only to have them never be able to be read by this app. This feature simply does not work and is a waste of time.

1) had to update before I could continue 2) first W2 couldnt have been any clearer/straight forward 3) crashed. 4) doesnt remember login creds. 5) W2 second time also didnt take. Done.

Absolutely zero problems using this. Took a picture of my W2 and grabbed all the info no problem. Walked me through everything, including filing. I didnt try to finish the return on my desktop, which some people seem to have issues with. But why would I? The app did everything!

App was smooth. I had four w2 forms and four 1099 forms. $79 I tried adding the w2 from the dashboard and it wouldnt pick it up. Then going through the steps it gave me an option to add them and that worked. Have a beer and do your taxes

After using the software on my PC since 2007; I thought I would give it a try. What a joke; cant even process a k1 without going to a brick and mortar location.

Never has filing my taxes been so easy. To be able to complete it on my iPhone in about 15 minutes all-told was amazing. Highly recommended.

This is an awesome app! I was able to file my taxes all on my iPhone. They take you step by step and explain everything. Taking a picture of your W-2 firm saves all the typing as well. Defiantly recommend this!

For the most part the software is pretty easy to use. However I did have some issues on the scanning of my w-2. I ended up entering it manually without issue.

This app worked well for me. Easy to navigate and go back and forth with. Well worth using. Only minor bug for me was the photo return capture. I could not get my W2s entered. But, i didnt try more than twice either, so could have been me...

YOU WILL LOOSE MONEY AND THEY OFFER NO PHONE SUPORT FOR BASIC RETURN! No too many options when it comes to write offs.

Only works in landscape mode. Ignoring that astonishing inflexibility, it worked fine, though. Right up until filing, when it kicked me over to get PIN from IRS website. The instant the PIN appeared the app sh!t itself, unceremoniously logging me out and taking a hike. So. Back to square one in the filing process. Except on a PC this time. Where it worked perfectly. The app seems more of a novelty of convenience to let you split attention between TV and taxes. To power through with reliability, this aint it.

This was such a piece of cake to use and I saved $200 from going into H&R Block. Honestly one of the easiest, most intuitive apps Ive ever used.

Very easy to use! They walk you through each step. Drop down boxes with added explanations if needed. Prices very reasonable.

I am not happy that I had to use my iTunes account to pay for my refund.

I had no problems entering my info. I entered employers ID for one w2 form and the info imported. I manually entered 2nd w2 as it did not download based on employer ID, but its not that hard to do. Over all easy AND I didnt have to go to an accountant, make an appointment, etc.

App crashed always... Said there was no internet connection present. Restarted the phone. Checked Internet connection. Same problem. Useless.

Its not often the words "quick" and "easy" are associated with taxes, but somehow this app managed to make it happen! Took my time, followed the directions, and boom! My taxes are done! Will ABSOLUTELY use next year!
