H&R Block Tax Prep: File Taxes app good for

1st time using app and it was troubling at first. I scanned my W-2 but when it got to W-2 my info wasnt there. I ended up having to enter it three times. Because the app kicked me out once when I asked for help. So I didnt ask for help anymore. But once I entered my information the app was wonderful. Quick & Peazy
Good basic prep but could use some convenience features such as going directly to a form and line to adjust instead having to plow through whole sections to make a simple correction.
This app is a HUGE improvement over past editions. Ive used multiple digital tax preparers over the years, and so happy I can prepare and file on my iPhone - even owning a home, having a biz, etc. Great work!

Some bad moments

Umm, why does this app need to act like it plays audio from a video or music and wont disappear from the music section of control center? Thats a bit irritating. Please fix that, I dont find it necessary for a tax preparation app to require the use of my music controls. I have an iPhone 6s running the latest iOS and the newest version of this app.
App wanted me to signout and login with login information from last year even though I am using same login info. Current update doesnt work of you used this app to file last year
The app gets stuck on certain screens (like review information I have edited) and just keeps refreshing back to the same screen when you select and option or select next. Right now I cant get to any part of my return. The good news is that the web version works slightly better and the information you enter on the app can be viewed and edited on the web version. But even the web version has issues. Turbotax is much better. The only reason Im not using it this year is that TT has a limitation on number of stock transactions on a 1099B that HR does not. In terms of usability, TT is a thousand times better.
After spending almost an hour entering information software gets stuck and no place to turn, but go else ware no customer service provided this thin is the equal of trash.
This app stinks! So slow and full of glitches which causes you to have to start over. You cant go back and fix errors or change your mind on options. I have to print out and Mail my taxes now which is will be a delayed refund! I should have taken my forms to a specialist who looked over my forms and told me what my real refund should have been! I missed out on over $500!!! Never again will I use this pos app!
My taxes arent complicated...own a home(mortgage and real estate tax)college interest & job related expenses and charitable contributions...nothing too complicated. It cost $78.00 to file both Fed.& State. Took me 2hrs. because I wasnt fully prepared with all my receipts. Im satisfied...saved $ doing it myself. Thank You H&R
